Thaumatrope-ing
I made 2 different thaumatropes, a flower pot and Pac man on
a stick, and a bird in a cage on another. Thaumatrope-ing is basically an
animation with only 2 frames continuously repeating, giving the illusion that
either the pictures become one, or the picture moves to something else then
back again. I made Pac man open and close his mouth using 2 pieces of paper and
a stick. The process is straight forward and easy to do. It is basically paper
on a stick spinning, or elastic bands making 2 pictures spin.
